How long does it take to receive my Serial code?

If you buy Pro using the big 'Order Securely' button and use PayPal, you are emailed your Serial code straight away automatically, as soon as the transaction is complete. So you could be using Pro in a matter if minutes if you pay by PayPal.

If you use Google Checkout or TrialPay, your Serial code has to be processed manually, which means it will be around 24 hours after payment before you can use Pro.

If you pay by mail order, it could be up to 7 days before you get your Serial code. Naturally, the mail has to arrive to our UK address and then we have to process your payment. This is simple if it is cash but if it is a cheque we have to wait for the funds to clear which can be days, especially for foreign cheques.

What are 'PayPal' and 'Google Checkout' - how do I pay by credit card?

Google Checkout works in the same way as PayPal, though. If you choose to use Google Checkout you will have to wait 24 hours to receive your Serial code. It is provided merely as an alternative to PayPal, which can save existing Google Checkout users time.

Can I pay by Cheque or Postal Order?

In the United States, 'Cheque' is spelt 'Check' and a 'Postal Order' is known as a 'Postal money order'.

You can pay for the Pro Edition using both a Cheque and a Postal Order.

To do this you should use the 'Mail order' button on this page which will give you a PDF order form that you must print out and mail to us. You can send the $14.99 in any currency you like, as long as it is of equal value.

Please make sure that when using mail order you use the correct amount of stamps / the correct postmark so the letter may reach the United Kingdom.

If you plan to use a Postal Order, please ensure it is 'crossed'. The payee name should be 'James Garner'. With a Postal Order, you will also have to pay the Post Office a fee to use the service - in the UK this is currently £1.00, plus the £7.75 you must put in the order itself. I have a friend, can we both use the Pro Edition together?

Yes, you may both use the purchased serial code ($14.99) on a single computer. You may enter the serial code on up to 5 computers as long as you are the only person that will be using Pro on all 5 computers. The single user license for the Pro Edition available on this page is intended for individuals.

If you are a school, college or team, you must purchase a multi-user license.

Do I have to re-buy the software for a new version?

A purchased serial code will work in all current and future versions of the DS Game Maker software. Even after major features are added to the software or the benefits of using the Pro Edition increase significantly, you still do not need to re-buy the Pro Edition, as for $14.99 you are buying a lifetime license.

Are there any extra system requirements for the Pro Edition?

The system requirements for the Pro Edition are almost exactly the same as for the Free Edition - if you are successfully making games in the Free Edition, then after you buy DS Game Maker, you will still continue to do so.
